May 24 CuriosiTea (Private Booking)

$325.00

This is a private booking organized by Theresa Vermeersch.

Each registration is for one child and one adult.

GPS Director and Educator, Konika Ray Wong, M.Ed will lead the workshops.

When: Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Puberty Power from 1:00 - 2:00 pm (Just for Kids)

We will celebrate growth by reframing the changes associated with puberty as superpowers. From mood swings to breast buds, building body confidence is all about having an attitude of gratitude that our bodies are healthy and growing.

Our first fun science experiment of the day will be making fruity fizzy bath bombs to encourage self care, healthy hygiene, and ease growing pains.

Go with the Flow from 2:00 - 3:00 (Just for Kids)

Konika will read her children’s book, “One in a Million - A First Book About Periods.” Using a wide variety of visual aids, we will explore the science of menstruation and all of the new and old inventions that help us manage our periods.

We’ll explore two more exciting science experiments.

CuriosiTea Ceremony from 3:00 - 4:30 (For Grown-ups and Kids Together)

Parents and caregivers will join us for the final part of this session: a special tea ceremony. This unique opportunity creates a safe and supportive community, fostering open conversations and shared wisdom. By modeling how to discuss growth and change with confidence and openness, we help our daughters experience a dialogue that is both empowering and free of shame.

We’ll sip our chai lattes and nibble on small bites while Konika answers the questions submitted by the children into the curiosity box. Then each girl and grownup will create a glass bead cycle tracker bracelet and explore interactive stations together.

Please note that all sales are final. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes. We recommend that you find a friend to take your spot. We will create a safe container for support, learning, and sharing and kindly ask that siblings not attend the tea.
