9/6 Be the Change & Flow Combo

from $200.00

This is a private booking organized by Janice K.

When: Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Where: Janice’s Backyard in Berkeley

Be the Change

We will celebrate growth by reframing the changes associated with puberty as superpowers. From mood swings to breast buds, building body confidence is all about having an attitude of gratitude that our bodies are healthy and growing.

We will encourage a little self care and good hygiene by playing the “guess the candy deodorant scent game” and making fruity fizzy bath bombs to take home.

Go with the Flow

GPS founder and author, Konika Ray Wong, M.Ed will read her children’s book, “One in a Million - A First Book About Periods.” Using a wide variety of visual aids, we will explore the science of menstruation and all of the new and old inventions that help us manage our periods.

This session will culminate with the infamous pad lab and a fun surprise science experiment.

Virtual Parent Education (Optional Add-On)

Weekday evening (exact date TBD)

“Puberty Power for Parents”

Konika will preview all of the content she will cover with the kids so that parents will feel confident reinforcing the concepts using similar language at home. This session will include a clear timeline of what happens in puberty, scripts to help guide the tricky conversations, and simple action steps you and your daughter can do together in each stage to help her feel confident, supported, and empowered.

Konika will share a recording for those that cannot make it to the live zoom session.

Choose the option with parent education from the drop down menu if you are interested in joining us. All parents and caregivers within each family are welcome to attend together.

Please note: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, credits, or reschedules for missed classes. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, you're welcome to find a friend to take your spot. We truly appreciate your understanding and support of our microbusiness!
