I'm the Boss of My Body

A Parent's Guide to Consent, Boundaries & Body Safety

How do we raise kids who feel confident in their bodies, recognize their boundaries, and know they can turn to trusted adults when something doesn't feel right?

In this practical, empowering workshop, educator and body literacy expert Konika Ray Wong teams up with Rebecca Walsh, director of Early Childhood Matters, to help parents of toddlers through early elementary school children build the foundations of body safety from the start.

Learn how to teach medically accurate anatomy, nurture body autonomy and consent, distinguish common from concerning behaviors, and help children recognize and communicate when something feels wrong. Together, Konika and Rebecca will explore age-appropriate ways to talk about safety beyond “stranger danger,” respond when concerns arise, prepare for situations like sleepovers, and use social-emotional learning tools and children's books to keep the conversation going at home.

You'll leave with practical language, trusted resources, and tools to help your child grow up feeling informed, respected, and empowered.

Giving Back: 10% of proceeds from this workshop will be donated to San Francisco Women Against Rape (SFWAR), supporting their work with survivors of sexual violence and their efforts to build a safer, more equitable community.

We never want finances to be a barrier to joining our workshops. If cost is a concern, please reach out to inquire about our sliding scale options.
