Parent Workshops (Virtual)

GPS parent education workshops take place live on Zoom with Konika Ray Wong, M.Ed. The group size is small and sessions include a talk, discussion, and Q&A time. Parents receive handouts and resources tailored to the topic after the workshop.

Sessions will be recorded; participate live or watch later.

Are you Prepared for Her First Period?

It’s time for a new narrative about periods that empowers our daughters to proudly celebrate this major transition. The age of the onset of modern puberty has decreased and it’s not uncommon for first periods to arrive in third or fourth grade. When we proactively prepare our children for their first period, we set the tone without shame or stigma.

In this class, you will learn about clues that her first period is coming soon, what to expect, an empowering framework of language, and parenting tips and hacks that will assure smooth sailing into this new stage of life.

This is a one hour class that takes place on zoom. Participants will receive a “Period Power” packet including a wide array of supportive resources.
