Workshops for Parents

With Children Ages 3 - 12

Our parent workshops include tips and tricks to reinforce our content at home. Parents can then use the same language and framework to keep the conversation going with their daughter. Parents can also take our workshops to preview the content and get a feel for our teaching philosophy and style before enrolling their daughter in a workshop. Our workshops are taught by science educator, GPS founder, and children’s book author, Konika Ray Wong, M.Ed. We offer both in-person and virtual workshops. Recordings are shared if you are unable to make it to the live session.

We can Build a Human!

A New Narrative About How the Egg and the Sperm Unite

One of the most common questions kids ask is, “Why do our bodies change during puberty?” We can build a human! In this class, we will learn about a modern and innovative new narrative that explains all of the possibilities for the egg and sperm to unite. You will learn easy ways to explain reproduction that take the cringey vibes out of the conversation and open up doors to empowerment and honest communication. You’ll learn specific language that easily allows you to embody a calm, comfortable, and confident tone when you talk to your kids about this complex subject. This class will cover how to talk to kids about basic male and female reproductive anatomy, sexual reproduction, adoption, egg and sperm donation, surrogacy, in vitro fertilization, and the gender spectrum. Try saying that three times really fast!

Sessions begin with a talk, Q&A time, and facilitated council practice to build community and allow our collective wisdom to arise. Sessions include discussion guides and resources tailored to the topic! Participate live or watch the recording at a time convenient for you! Topics are relevant to parents with kids ages 5 - 12.
